Blizzard Entertainment has recently announced that their classic real-time strategy game 'StarCraft' is going to be re-released with greater graphics resolution and slated to launch in summer.

The news was reportedly brought by Blizzard president Mike Morhaime during the recently concluded 'I Kotaku. The upcoming release is now being dubbed as 'StarCraft: Remastered' and will contain 4K ultra high-definition versions of the franchise's first-ever released title as well as the 'StarCraft: Brood War' expansion.
As indicated on 'StarCraft's' official website, apart from having more defined graphics, the remastered release will also feature a revamped audio, matchmaking options, plus the sought-after classic gameplay.

Blizzard promised that despite the major revamp, they will work hard to retain the classic elements that gamers have grown to love since 1998. Players will get the chance to play with familiar units such as the Terrans, Protoss and Zerg.

The game developers also entice players with the major restoration of real-time strategy gaming through the launch of 'StarCraft: Remastered,' saying, 'Command the mechanized Terrans, psi-powered Protoss, and insectoid Zerg as they vie for map control of eight unique environments.
